MP40 Warzone Pacific loadout

The MP40’s mobility and damage output make it a great choice for Warzone Pacific players if they can get the best MP40 loadout assembled.

A new map isn’t the only thing that Warzone players will have to get used to. Thanks to Vanguard integration it is now possible to equip Vanguard weapons with ten attachments. It’s safe to say players are excited to see what these new weapons can do.

With so many options to pick from, getting started could be confusing. Fortunately, this loadout guide will set you on the path to Warzone Pacific success.

Here are the ten attachments, Perks, and equipment you’ll need to make the MP40 a top-tier Submachine Gun

Best MP40 attachments for Warzone Pacific

Vanguard MP40 SMG
  • Muzzle: Recoil Booster
  • Barrel: VDD 189mm Short
  • Optic: Krausnick ISO 1M
  • Stock: Krausnick 33M Folding
  • Underbarrel: SMLE Pistol Grip
  • Magazine: 9mm 64 Round Drum
  • Ammo Type: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Fabric Grip
  • Perk: Brace
  • Perk 2: Quick

This MP40 loadout is all about getting up close and personal with your enemies. The Krausnick 33M Folding stock, Fabric Grip, and VDD 189mm Short barrel combine to provide devastating speed and power in close quarters. This choice of barrel may be a little tricky to control but once you get the hang of it, you’ll love the mobility advantage it provides.

The Recoil Booster and the SMLE Pistol Grip balance the MP40 by providing improved accuracy. Thankfully, the extra bullet velocity from the Lengthened ammo type ensures that the MP40 won’t be utterly useless at greater distances. What with the Krausnick ISO 1M optic you’re really going to want to stick with close-quarters gunfights.

Brace will certainly help stabilize this wicked MP40 loadout as it gives your first few bullets added accuracy. Meanwhile, Quick will get you moving from one gunfight to the next with added movement speed. You’ll be able to take on squads in succession thanks to the 9mm 64 Round Drum.

Best MP40 Perks and equipment

Perks Warzone
  • Perk 1: Double Time
  • Perk 2: Overkill
  • Perk 3: Amped
  • Primary (Overkill): Automaton
  • Lethal: Semtex
  • Tactical: Stun

The Double Time Perk suits the MP40 as you’ll likely be zooming around the map with it in hand. Meanwhile, Amped will allow a faster swap between weapons. Speaking of which, Overkill will let you carry another Primary weapon. Seeing as the MP40 doesn’t perform well at greater distances, the Automaton will make a great pair.

The Semtex and Stun equipment are standard options in Warzone seeing as both can provide a slight advantage in fights if used correctly.

How to unlock the MP40 in Vanguard and Warzone Pacific

MP40 in Call of Duty Vanguard

If you’ve played Vanguard before chances are you’re familiar with the MP40. It’s one of the best Submachine Guns and it is available as soon as you unlock Custom Loadouts at Rank 4.

Due to its popularity, many players will have significant attachments unlocked. If this isn’t the case you may want to consider using a double weapon XP token.

Warzone Pacific alternatives to MP40

The PPSH-41 seems to be the early favorite within the Submachine Gun weapon type. Due to its incredible rate of fire, the PPSH-41 is tearing enemies up.

The Kar98k is a safe bet if you’re interested in a long-range weapon. What’s more, it pairs perfectly with the MP40. This would relegate the MP40 to a sniper support role.

As players continue to hit Caldera’s picture-perfect beaches, the weapon meta is certainly going to shift. Stay tuned to Charlie INTEL for all of the latest Warzone Pacific Season 1 news.

Warzone players find perfect real-life alternative to Rebirth Island

Warzone players have found the perfect alternative to Rebirth Island if the developers were to add another Resurgence map.

Published

Hashima Island and Rebirth Island Warzone map

Warzone’s Rebirth Island offers a smaller and faster-paced alternative to Caldera, and players have now found the perfect real-life location if Raven Software were to ever create another Resurgence-based map.

Rebirth Island, based on Blackout’s Alcatraz, hit Warzone with Black Ops Cold War’s integration in December 2020. Since then, it’s become an integral part of the CoD battle royale experience thanks to its smaller size and Resurgence mechanics.

Players begged for Rebirth Island to stay after Warzone Pacific arrived, and it did, but now players have found the perfect location if Raven Software were to add another Resurgence-based map alongside Rebirth.

Warzone Pacific Rebirth Island map

A Reddit user pointed out that Hashima Island off the coast of Nagasaki, Japan, “would make such a good” map to arrive alongside Rebirth Island as another fast-paced experience.

This real-life island is famously featured in the James Bond movie Skyfall and bears a strong resemblance to Raven Software’s version of Alcatraz Island.

Hashima is densely packed with buildings such as apartment complexes, so it would have a much more urban feel than Rebirth. Plus, because it’s off the coast of Japan, it could match Warzone Pacific’s WW2 aesthetic.

Many players in the comments were excited at the prospect of a new Resurgence map – but not if it replaced Rebirth Island.

User ‘tFearn117’ said that “ I really want them to add more resurgence maps; I love Rebirth, sure, but that’s pretty much all my squad wants, and that tiny map gets old. Surely, since it’s so much smaller than the main BR, they could add at least 2-3 more and rotate them.”

However, there’s a wide-open area overlooked by the cliffs in the center, and players weren’t keen on how many tall rooftops there were. They said that the map would need to be reworked if it made its way to Warzone. Several buildings and landmarks were also added to Alcatraz Island when it became Rebirth, so there’s a strong chance this would happen.

Neither Activision nor Raven Software have teased that another small map would come to Warzone, so this is purely speculation for now. But, if Warzone’s devs wanted to add another map, Hashima would be an excellent choice.

How Call of Duty: Warzone’s meta changed over 2021

Call of Duty: Warzone’s weapon meta changed dramatically over 2021, so here’s a breakdown of each seasons’ meta.

Published

on

Price and Woods in Verdansk 84

Call of Duty: Warzone has seen several metas come and go over 2021, with Cold War weapons such as the DMR, FFAR 1, and Krig 6 dominating certain seasons. Here’s how Warzone’s meta changed over the course of 2021.

Choosing the best weapon possible is extremely important to winning Call of Duty: Warzone, but what weapon is best never remains consistent. Warzone developers Raven Software have spent 2021 buffing and nerfing tons of weapons, which has shifted the meta every time.

Thanks to website WZ Ranked, we can what weapons entered and left the meta across 2021’s Black Ops Cold War Seasons.

Here’s a breakdown of the weapon meta from Black Ops Cold War’s first season to Warzone Pacific, based on their popularity.

Warzone x Cold War Season 1 meta

Warzone DMR 14

Black Ops Cold War Season 1 brought all of Cold War’s weapons over to Warzone, where the DMR 14 almost immediately took over. The DMR had almost a 30% pick rate in the first quarter of Season 1 before it was nerfed to the ground on January 13.

During this time, the MAC-10 was the most popular SMG, consistently staying between a 15-20% pick rate. The MAC-10 then became the most popular weapon in Season 1, with Modern Warfare’s Kar98k regaining popularity after the DMR nerf.

Warzone x Cold War Season 2 meta

CoD Warzone FFAR 1

Cold War Season 2 saw the MAC-10 nerfed and the dreaded FFAR 1 meta arrive in Warzone. With an incredibly fast time-to-kill and minimal recoil, the FFAR had over a 20% pick rate and remained incredibly popular until the end of Season 2.

During this time, the Kar98k remained consistently popular (and does every single season), while the M16 saw a huge jump during the burst meta.

Warzone x Cold War Season 3 meta

Warzone CR-56 AMAX

Cold War Season 3 saw the original Warzone map nuked and Verdansk ’84 take over. This huge update nerfed several extremely popular weapons including the M16, making it one of the more balanced seasons of 2021.

The CR-56 AMAX saw a huge rise in popularity during this time, briefly hitting the same pick rate as the ever-popular Kar98k.

Warzone x Cold War Season 4 meta

best warzone fara 83 loadout

Raven Software nerfed the CR-56 AMAX towards the end of Season 3, which was met with significant backlash. However, to make up for it, the FARA 83 received a huge buff which made it the most popular weapon by a longshot.

Then after the FARA was nerfed, it was the Krig 6’s time to shine. Its low recoil made it the most popular weapon by a country mile, and it remained that way well into Season 5.

Warzone x Cold War Season 5 meta

Call of Duty Warzone Kar98k

The Season 5 meta didn’t change much from Season 4, but weapons such as the Bullfrog and Cold War AK-47 became some of the most popular.

The Krig 6 received a strong nerf during Season 5, which brought Modern Warfare’s Kar98k back to the top spot.

Warzone x Cold War Season 6 meta

Best Warzone Swiss K31 loadout

Warzone Season 6, the final season before Warzone Pacific, had the most balanced meta of any Cold War season.

After a full year of buffs, nerfs, and changes, it appeared that Raven Software had finally found the balance they were hoping to strike. The Swiss K31 dethroned the Kar98k to be the most popular weapon, and the OTs 9 and Cold War AK-47 became the most popular non-sniper weapons.

But, no weapon surpassed a 15% pick rate, so almost any weapon was viable during this time.

Warzone Pacific Season 1 meta

Operators fighting in Warzone Pacific

The Warzone Pacific Season 1 update saw a huge shift in the meta, as all 40 weapons from Vanguard’s multiplayer arrived.

The early days of this season saw all of Modern Warfare and Cold War’s weapons drop in popularity as Vanguard’s guns began to rise. Now, it’s the MP-40 and STG44 dominating the meta, while the Modern Warfare Kar98k kept its place as the most popular Sniper Rifle.

With the Warzone Pacific Season 1 Reloaded update coming soon, we expect this meta to shift again.

2021 saw many different weapons enter and leave the meta, while some fan-favorite picks remained there all the way through. Warzone Pacific’s seasons’ metas are likely to be equally as diverse, and we’re looking forward to seeing what guns come out on top.

FaZe Swagg reveals “meta” Type 100 loadout after huge damage buff

Top Warzone streamer FaZe Swagg has revealed the meta loadout for the Type 100, which is now incredibly strong thanks to huge damage buffs.

FaZe Swagg and Warzone Type 100

Vanguard’s Type 100 SMG was buffed in Warzone’s December 16 update, and FaZe star Kris ‘Swagg’ Lamberson has revealed the “ridiculous” meta loadout you should be using.

The Type 100 SMG received a significant buff in the December 10 update, which gave it major damage buffs across all categories. This prompted top Warzone streamer FaZe Swagg to give it a try in Caldera, where he dropped a whopping 34 kills using it alongside the Bren.

Here’s why FaZe Swagg is so impressed with the Type 100 in Warzone, as well his best loadout to use with it.

Type 100 Warzone Pacific loadout

The Type 100 wasn’t a particularly bad gun in Warzone, but massive damage buffs made in early December catapulted it into the meta.

After using it, Swagg said that the Type 100 “is so viable and so good, it’s ridiculous.” He went on to say that “it’s definitely a meta SMG for sure now, no question.”

Here are the changes made to the Type 100, which prompted Swagg to give it a shot:

  • Maximum Damage increased to 28, up from 22
  • Mid Damage increased to 22, up from 17
  • Min Damage increased to 18, up from 15
  • Neck Damage Multiplier decreased to 1.4, down from 1.6

These changes have made it more effective at every range, turning it into the “ridiculous” beast that Swagg was so impressed with.

  • Muzzle: Recoil Booster
  • Barrel: Shiraishi 374mm
  • Optic: Slate Reflector
  • Stock: Warubachi Skeletal
  • Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop
  • Magazine: .30 Russian Short 36 Round Mags
  • Ammo Type: Hollow Point
  • Rear Grip: Polymer Grip
  • Perk: Vital
  • Perk 2: Quick

FaZe Swagg built his Type 100 for speed and close-range power, making it the perfect complement to the incredibly powerful Bren LMG.

The .30 Russian Short 36 Round Mags vastly increase the Type 100’s damage and range, and the Vital Perk makes it so that upper chest shots deal the same damage as headshots. Then, the Recoil Booster Muzzle increases its fire rate, and the Warubachi Skeletal Stock increases mobility.
