Best guns in Warzone Pacific Season 1
10. Grau 5.56
Long-time Warzone players will know the Grau 5.56 very well, with the weapon dominating the meta for months during 2020. While it has received a pretty substantial nerf since then, the Grau is still a dominant force on Verdansk and has remained popular in Warzone Pacific.
The main reason people flock to this gun is its accuracy. In terms of Assault Rifles, there are few that are as easy to handle as this one, and with an easy-to-learn recoil pattern, you can beam enemies across the map if you’re using the best Grau 5.56 Warzone loadout.
9. Bren – Best LMG in Warzone Pacific
Although quite slow, the Bren is an incredibly powerful weapon when used in the right circumstances. You won’t be able to dart around finessing your opponents, but if you get a full squad in your sights and manage to mount, it’s game over for them.
The Bren has a surprisingly strong fire rate and low recoil for an LMG, which makes it a fantastic choice whether you’ve built your own loadout or are using it as ground loot.
8. OTs 9
Warzone players love a low TTK SMG, and the OTs 9 fits that category perfectly. It has minimal recoil and can kill extremely quickly, which makes it a powerful choice whether you’re pairing it with an Assault Rifle or Sniper Rifle.
You’ll likely still see a ton of OTs 9s in Caldera thanks to its accuracy and power.
The STG44 is an extremely popular choice because it’s the first Assault Rifle you unlock in Vanguard and is extremely easy to use.
It’s almost the M4A1 of WW2, being a great jack of all trades. It’s neither the most powerful nor the most accurate, but players of all skill levels can take advantage of it. Plus, the Gunsmith system allows the STG to be built for almost any situation, but we recommend using it at medium to long range.
Similar to the STG, the MP40 is incredibly effective because it’s so easy to use and will tear through enemies extremely quickly.
Although it’s the first SMG you unlock, the MP40 has almost no recoil and great mobility. If you’re unsure which SMG to level up and use in Caldera, we can’t recommend the MP40 enough. Plus, there are plenty of great versions of it as ground loot, too.
The BAR isn’t the easiest weapon to use in Warzone Pacific, but there are very few Assault Rifles that can outgun it.
Its slow fire rate makes tracking moving targets quite tough, but each bullet hits like a truck. Once you get used to that slow fire rate, you’ll likely have great success with the BAR – especially when fighting players face-to-face.
It’s not the best at close-range though, so make sure you stick to the outdoors.
4. PPSh-41 – Best SMG in Warzone Pacific
The PPSh-41 originally suffered from the bloom mechanic, but now that’s been removed, it’s become extremely effective at close-medium range. You can run the PPSh along with a Sniper Rifle, Assault Rifle, or LMG – it’s entirely up to you.
So no matter your playstyle, we recommend giving the PPSh-41 a try.
3. Swiss K31
The Swiss K31 wasn’t a particularly strong Sniper Rifle when it was first released, but some powerful buffs to Cold War snipers have made it a very strong option for those who favor picking off enemies from a distance.
This Sniper Rifle has one of the best ADS times in its class, making it a perfect option for quickscopers who like to get into their opponents’ faces.
We’ve ranked it below the Kar98k simply because it has less aim assist, but if you’re a mouse and keyboard player, the Swiss K31 could be the weapon for you.
2. Cooper Carbine – Best Assault Rifle in Warzone Pacific
The Cooper Carbine was new to both Warzone and Vanguard with the launch of Season 1, and quickly became one of the best weapons in the game.

It was originally best suited for close-range but even after Raven Software nerfed it, it’s still remained top of the pack.
Its fast fire rate and extremely low recoil make it an absolute powerhouse at any range, and it’s absolutely the best Assault Rifle in Warzone Pacific Season 1. Don’t be surprised to see it hit with another nerf in the coming days.
1. Kar98k – Best Warzone Sniper/Marksman Rifle in Season 6
If you want a Sniper Rifle that’s both quick and accurate, Modern Warfare’s Kar98k is the strongest choice available. Although being a Marksman Rifle, equipping the Kar with a Sniper Scope will make it the most aggressive sniper build in Warzone.
Being only slightly slower than the Swiss, it’s fast enough that you’ll be able to quickscope enemies up close. Starting a fight with a couple of easy headshots will put your team at a distinct advantage. And with its one-shot headshot and minimal bullet drop, you can effectively snipe at long-range too.
Sniper Rifles still dominate after the Warzone Pacific update, so you’ll want to make sure that someone in your squad is running one – and we fully recommend the Kar98k.
Those are the top 10 weapons you should be using in Warzone Pacific Caldera. Expect this list to keep on changing as weapons are buffed and nerfed.

Warzone players stunned as ADS invisibility glitch makes everything disappear
Warzone players have found a new invisibility glitch that causes “everything” to go missing, even the target you are shooting at.
Invisible Operator skins was one thing, but now a Warzone player has found an ADS invisibility glitch that completely ruins the gameplay.
Unfortunately, yet another Warzone invisibility bug has been found, which seems to activate when players ADS.
Reddit user lookmaimonthereddit put up a post in the Warzone subreddit with the title: “Invisible skin was one thing. How about invisible everything.”
The post contained a video showing off the new ADS invisibility bug, which subsequently causes the player to miss an easy kill.
The player’s weapon, optic, and even the enemy go invisible soon after the player aims down their sights. This is clearly game-breaking, as it prevents them from being able to finish the kill and is also probably very frustrating.
They aren’t the only ones who have experienced this issue either, as others in the comments are also sharing their experiences with the ADS invisibility bug: “I also get it on the latest patch, latest driver and 3x-6x scope on the STG44.”
It’s not quite clear exactly what is causing the bug, one user suggests that it could be optic related, while another claims it could be their “ultrawide” aspect ratio: “I have the same on my 32:9 screen with this scope.”
It could be a variety of issues, as some claim it also happens to them “without scopes.” Who knows, but since the devs are seemingly more focused on communicating issues with the community, perhaps we will get answers soon.

FaZe Swagg reveals “overpowered” Warzone Pacific Welgun loadout
FaZe Swagg has revealed the perfect loadout attachments to make the brand-new Welgun SMG “overpowered” in Season 1.
FaZe star Kris ‘Swagg’ Lamberson tested out Warzone’s brand-new Welgun SMG, calling it “top-tier” and building an “overpowered” loadout for it.
The Gunsmith system allows the Welgun to be built for a number of different playstyles, and top streamer FaZe Swagg has revealed how to make it “overpowered” with the right loadout attachments.
But the one weapon standing out is the brand-new Welgun. In a YouTube video titled “The new Welgun SMG is overpowered in Warzone,” FaZe Swagg explains why.
Using the Welgun along with the STG, Swagg dropped 30 kills, helping his squad rack up over a hundred kills in Caldera. “This gun is top-tier, no question,” explained Swagg. “And overall, 100% you should unlock it.”
Swagg said the Welgun “melts with the right build,” so we’ve got his full class set up below.
FaZe Swagg “overpowered” Welgun loadout
Swagg’s YouTube video doesn’t reveal his full Welgun loadout, so here are the attachments he was running during his January 13 stream.
- Muzzle: Recoil Booster
- Barrel: 120mm Gawain Short
- Optic: Slate Reflector
- Stock: Removed Stock
- Underbarrel: Carver Foregrip
- Magazine: 7.62 Gorenko 48 Round Mags
- Ammo Type: Hollow Point
- Rear Grip: Polymer Grip
- Perk 1: Unmarked
- Perk 2: Fully Loaded
Swagg boosted the Welgun’s fire rate by combining the Recoil Booster and 120mm Gawain Short barrel, allowing it to kill enemies much faster. And he discovered that running iron sights gives you a reflex, so he opted for the Slate Reflector instead.
For magazine and ammo, Swagg ran the 7.62 Gorenko 48 Round Mags to hold extra bullets and the Hollow Point ammunition which increases the damage dealt to limbs, making it much more forgiving.
The rest of the attachments are to improve the Welgun’s mobility and accuracy, with the Unmarked Perk which helps to conceal your position on the mini map.

CoD devs respond to frustrations over performance in Warzone & Vanguard
The Warzone and Vanguard devs have officially responded to the abundance of issues with a statement to the community.
Call of Duty issued a response to all the performance issues players are currently experiencing in both Warzone and Vanguard.
Along with the mid-season update for Warzone and Vanguard, which introduced loads of new content such as the Welgun and a variety of buffs and nerfs, the devs have now issued a detailed response to the community’s frustrations.
There have been a lot of issues in Warzone and Vanguard since the two games were linked, but it’s great to actually get some detailed communication from the devs in response to the issues that players have been experiencing.
Here’s what they had to say.
In Call of Duty‘s latest tweet titled “A message to our community,” the developers conveyed just how hard the team is working at providing fixes to a variety of issues.
The post contained details of the latest implemented changes and known issues being worked on for both Warzone and Vanguard.
In the short message, the developers make it clear that the team is “hard at work addressing the issues that are being experienced across Vanguard, Warzone, and Modern Warfare. Updates are being deployed as quickly as possible.”
When it comes to Warzone some of the issues mentioned as ones that they are working on include:
- Console performance
- Invisible skins
- Buy Stations
These issues, especially the Buy Station freezing problems and console performance have been at the center of recent player frustrations in the community.
Just this week players were clowning the number of issues on console, so it’s great to get confirmation that the devs are working on fixes.
As for Vanguard, there have been quite a few issues that players have been disappointed with, especially as recent updates haven’t exactly eased player frustrations with Incendiary Grenades.
The post mentioned an abundance of issues that the dev team is working on:
- Weapons & Equipment
- Shotgun nerfs and smoke reduction.
- Attack Dog fixes.
- Cold Blooded and High Alert.
- Accuracy of Quick Play filters and diversity of maps.
- Party-disconnect issue
- Dedicated server pause feature.
It’s clear that the Call of Duty developers are working on having better communication with the players. This is definitely a step towards that, but up next is for these updates to be complete.
We’ll be sure to update the community on when these fixes have been issued. For now, check out why players are praising Warzone’s latest playlist update.
